Black Iris without Black Collection for Spring 2011

Dear Prima Bananas,

Prima Zaria’s very first handbag collection is here to stay and rock Spring 2011!

black iris, georgia O'keefe, origami

Hand crafted Origami Black Iris flower in genuine lamb skin. Very much inspired by Georgia O'Keefe's Black Iris Painting.

In genuine lambskin, Iris in Satchel, cross body box, and oversized clutch; this collection explores the possibility of integrating contemporary fashion with Ms O’Keefe’s Black Iris. To put it quite simply, I wanted to see if it’s possible to usher in Spring in a feminine yet powerful way.

Understated elegance.

Iris Satchel

To create Ms. O’keefe flower without falling back on simple appliques or flares, we try to use origami techniques on leather. To create that emotional tone so signature of Ms. O’Keefe, it was a last minute decision to lab dip and custom dye the lambskin into tonal grey and pink.

Brass hardware in antique gold finish completes the collection.

This is only a sneak peek as we are still working on beautiful line sheets with interior shots and price for all to view.
Stay tune for more, and if you like it, own it!
